Welcome!

Dear Gold Ridge Elementary Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! As I step into my fourth year at Gold Ridge, I am filled with immense gratitude and excitement. It is a true honor to serve as the principal of such an incredible, vibrant, and supportive school community.

This year marks a special milestone for me, as I enter my 31st year as an educator. The vast majority of my career was spent exactly where the magic happens: in the classroom as an upper elementary teacher. My educational journey began at Saint Mary’s College of California in the beautiful town of Moraga, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts. From there, I attended San Jose State University, earning a Master’s of Arts alongside my teaching credential. My path started in San Jose's Evergreen School District before happily leading me to the Folsom Cordova Unified School District, where I am proud to say I am now celebrating my 25th year!

As an educator, my core mission has always been centered on the whole child. I am deeply committed to fostering robust academic growth alongside essential social and emotional skills. I believe that true student success happens when we cultivate sharp minds and kind hearts simultaneously, preparing our Eagles to navigate the world with both confidence and empathy.

I am incredibly eager and looking forward to the upcoming school year. Each new year brings fresh opportunities, new friendships, and a blank canvas for our students to create lasting memories. I cannot wait to see our hallways filled with laughter, curiosity, and the vibrant energy that makes our school so special.

As you can probably tell, I am a passionate believer in lifelong learning and relentlessly chasing your dreams. Every single step of my 31-year path has led me right here to Gold Ridge, where our Eagles truly SOAR!
