Docent Information
Thank you Docents! 👏🏻
We could not do it without you!
About “Eagles A.R.T.”
How: Eagles A.R.T. is made possible by the Gold Ridge PTO and parents volunteering as docents and teaching the lessons.
What: Eagles A.R.T. is an art program developed for Gold Ridge Elementary School by local artist Rachel Dillon. There are six art lessons per school year. Each lesson will take about an hour to present and create the art.
Who: You do not need to be an artist or have any art experience to sign-up! We need at least one (1) docent to teach the lesson and a total of 2-3 docents to assist the students along with distributing and cleaning up for each classroom.
When: Rachel trains the docents step-by-step how to create and teach the art lesson to the class. There are 6 trainings per year from 7-8pm at Gold Ridge. Docents work with the teacher to find the best day and time to present the lesson. Students love when the docents arrive for Eagles A.R.T!
If you would like more information about being a docent, please contact Jessica Nelson.
